Recently, Darius stopped by rolling out to discuss his career and lifestyle.

How are you doing today?

I’m good, man. I’m chilling. Just really woke up.

What time did you go to sleep?

About like 5 [a.m.]

5 a.m.?

Yeah. You know how that is.

I remember Karrahbooo once tweeting that she couldn’t remember the last time she went to sleep before 7 a.m. What has the artist schedule adjustment been like for you?

It’s like the summertime when your mom lets you stay up late and play the game late. It’s really like that every day; it’s really the same thing, but it’ll be every day; I’m just so tired. It takes a toll on your body.

So, being a rapper is pretty much like being a kid in the summertime?

Yeah, for sure. No cap, my whole life is like the summertime when I was little.

Parties every night. Having fun. Staying up late. It’s most definitely like being a kid. That’s crazy. I never thought of it like that. It’s just like being a kid again.

It kind of concerns me the way older women talk about guys like you, Luh Tyler and now the alleged Jalen Green situation in the NBA. Do you view the way older women talk about you as grooming?

No. You just have to know how to play it. When you a real playa, you know how to adjust to it.

I’m not going to lie; I think you might be a victim.

I get what you’re saying, but I think it’s different if they’re giving you money and stuff like that. But you see, I’m a playa. I don’t go for that.

A lot of n—- are not playas, so they just go for anything. So, yes, they are victims, but I don’t feel like I’m a victim because I be getting what I need … I’m smackin’ these h–, going about my day. No, but for real, though, you are right.

Is there a woman you watched when you were younger, like a celebrity crush, you want to talk to now that you’re famous?

I was just talking to my friend about this, but Skai Jackson.

From “Jessie”?

Yeah, we were talking about her, but no, I haven’t done that with anybody yet.

What has your connection to Quavo been like?

Quavo and my manager knew each other since before I started rapping.
When I started rapping, he told Quavo about me and it was cool. He had my number, and I was in New York at a Lil Baby concert. I was with them and Quavo just called me. He was like, “Hey. Are you in Athens [Georgia]?” And I was like, “No. I’m not even in Athens” because he had a giveaway going on out there at the time. He then told me we had to lock in when I got back.

I came back, hit him up and we ended up making the song. He’s cool, though; I run into him all the time. He’s cool people.
