As many rappers continue to beef with each other and fans wait for diss response tracks, Lil Yachty and the Concrete Family released ITS US VOL 1.

The project is fun and diverse, showcasing all of the talents from the dynamic collective under the umbrella of Yachty and Quality Control Music.

Camo, one of the newer members to join the group, continues to hold his own on each track as one of the artists whom the masses might not have heard much from previously. His melodies and flows float on each beat, whether alternative like the opening track “Point me to it (intro)” or on a more Detroit-like bounce on “Hit Different.”

Dc2trill definitely shines and continues to show his consistency, coming off an impressive Family Matters album in 2023. His solo track “My Life” is a standout on this album, as is his closing out “2 HANDS 2 EYES 10 WHIPS.”

Draft Day premiered a new voice on this album. His new style is an acquired taste, but it could be the variable that takes his following to another level. In its infancy stages, it’s a matter of trial and error for the group’s eldest member.

Karrahbooo is the group’s most popular member, not named Lil Yachty, and she continued to match the hype and standard listeners have set for her. “Where Yo Daddy” and “Not Da 2” are two tracks that drew in ScHoolboy Q and inspired him to post about the music on X. Karrahbooo’s most famous verse from her “On The Radar” Concrete cypher is also featured on the album.

This project continues to push Yachty in conversations of the best artists of his time. He has pushed the limits in multiple genres and subgenres within hip-hop, and as its been recently revealed, he’s one of the genre’s best writers, as well.

Yachty made it known on volume one of the ITS US series that he and his collective is here to stay.
