Gabrielle Union is “stressed out” about sending her stepdaughter to college.

The Idea of You actor admitted her husband Dwyane Wade and she are feeling “nerves and anxieties” about his 16-year-old daughter Zaya Wade moving away, but Zaya is”so calm” about the whole situation.

“I think she is so calm about it ’cause I think she knows exactly where she wants to go, but I think she’s humoring us with seeing what our country has to offer,” Union said.

“We’re stressed out. We’re stressed out about her being away from us … [Parents all have the] same nerves and anxieties about sending your babies away. It’s tough,” she told “Entertainment Tonight.”

The actor joked that Zaya’s ambitions mean she will need to find someone else to help her at college.

“She wants to major in astrobiology, so there’s only so much help we can offer, to be honest … I was a sociology major, [so I’m like,] ‘Girl you’re on your own,” she teased.

Meanwhile, Union admitted her 5-year-old daughter Kaavia has “refused” to watch her famous mother’s iconic role in the 2000 cheerleader movie Bring It On.

“Honestly, she refuses to watch the whole movie. She’s like, ‘I get it, Mom.’ She’ll watch little clips every now and again,” the “Being Mary Jane” star said.

“She loves dressing up and doing cheers, so that’s really all I’ve gotten, what you’ve seen. It’s cute. It’s so cute. She loves to dance and sing and perform and all the things,” she said.

Union previously admitted she was concerned that her “lack of knowledge” on motherhood would be to her detriment.

“I was afraid of being a bad mom, of not living up to the great moms that I grew up with. I didn’t want my lack of understanding or knowledge on every single thing to leave this gaping hole in her life. As I got more confidence, I’m, like, ‘Oh, we’re all winging it? We’re just doing the best we can,'” she told “E! News.”
