Fans are beside themselves after Wendy Williams’ multimillion-dollar penthouse in New York was sold for nearly a million dollars under what she paid for it.

The court-appointed guardian reportedly sold the 59-year-old Williams’ three-bedroom, three-bathroom property for $3.75 million, which is $822k less than the $4.5 million Williams purchased it for in July 2021.

This comes months after Williams was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and the language disorder aphasia.

“Wendy’s dream has always been to live in Manhattan in a dream apartment but never got a chance to do so. It is a very unfortunate situation,” RadarOnline reports.

AOL.com states the guardian was charged with offloading the luxury high-rise abode because Williams has been legally deemed “incapacitated” and therefore unable to make sound decisions regarding her personal and business affairs.

Wendy Williams has been spiraling from a myriad of mental and physical ailments

The former daytime talk show queen also suffered from a myriad of health issues — including Grave’s disease, lymphedema, and drug and alcohol addictions — that forced her to shut down her popular show in June 2022.

“Over the past few years, questions have been raised at times about Wendy’s ability to process information and many have speculated about Wendy’s condition, particularly when she began to lose words, act erratically at times, and have difficulty understanding financial transactions,” Williams’ team announced in a statement in February 2024.

“Despite the diagnoses, Wendy is still able to do many things for herself. Most importantly, she maintains her trademark sense of humor and is receiving the care she requires to make sure she is protected and that her needs are addressed,” the statement continued.

Wendy Williams fans lament her steady health and fiscal deterioration

“In this market!! That guardian situation should be illegal, from the documentary and other stories, she’s clearly not doing her job and doesn’t have Wendy’s best interest at heart. Her sister, niece, son and entire family seem more than capable of taking care of her, why is she not with them,” said one user in The Neighborhood Watch comments section.

“I bet the guardian knows the buyer of her property. This is a shame,” said a second fan.

A third person added: “Her guardians don’t know how. to count. How does any property in Manhattan New York sell for less 🤔. They are liquidating her portfolio cause they need cash and take losses to do it! Sad times.”
