Karlissa Saffold incited social media mayhem when she flippantly stated that her son, Blueface, is too rich to go out and help fight the catastrophic Los Angeles fires with other inmates.
Almost 1,000 L.A. prisoners fighting fires
The BBC reported that nearly 1,000 inmates, male and female from L.A. County jails and prisons are out in the vast county area helping to fight the four major infernos that are causing cataclysmic and historic damage to homes, schools and businesses. The publication said billions of dollars, 10,000 structures and more than 37K acres have already been destroyed completely by the multiple blazes.
Blueface was sentenced to four years in prison for a probation violation, for which he has served nearly a year. His mother, however, said the “Thotiana” rapper will not be joining the others because he is too wealthy to do so.
Instead, Saffold, 52, said Blueface will appropriate the balance of his time in prison working on his rehabilitation.
Social media chaos erupted when one of Saffold’s 400,000 followers asked if the 27-year-old Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Jamall Porter, is out in the metroplex with other inmate firefighters.
“Are they making Blue fight fires? They don’t make rich n—-s go fight fires in jail now,” she responded flippantly then chuckled. “They might make your son fight the fire though, not mine, but they might make yours. He paying his taxes to be in there, okay? He in rehab. My son is in jail rehab, okay? He taking a break from life, he in rehab, he getting rehabilitated.”

“She is repulsive,” one fan said in the comments section of Live Bitez.
“So your son’s CHOICES and ACTIONS didn’t put him in that situation? You volunteered him for the situation? That’s what I thought. 😑,” said another fan.
“Tf was the point of her making this post,” a third person queried rhetorically, while a fourth opined, “She’s slow 🤦🏽♀️ How does she not know about the Fire Camps for inmates?? Smh.”
A fifth person dismissed Saffold, saying, “Nobody gives AF @karlissa_angelic this is absolutely tone deaf. GROW UP.”
Saffold took in so much incoming fire for her imprudent statements that she felt compelled to clap back with another IG post.
“Y’all always talking s–t not knowing what people have gone through on a personal experience. My son said a house almost fell on him for that .69 cents an hour and 5 months off his sentence,” she railed. “How many of y’all sent yalls to help the fire fighters or even volunteer. Stop playing with a real one and learn from one.”
Remember: this is the same woman who went on the Jason Lee Show last year to declare that Blue is “a bad son.”
