Atlanta’s Grove Park transformed into a festive rodeo arena on Sunday, April 20th, as hip hop artist and philanthropist Young Dro hosted his 20th Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Families from across the Westside of Atlanta, Young Dro’s hometown, gathered for a day of free food, vibrant face painting, engaging games, and exciting special appearances.

The energy was high as a live dancing Easter bunny entertained the crowd, and Streetz 94.5‘s very own John Marshal broadcasted live from the park, interacting with the delighted families throughout the day. Adding to the excitement, rising artists SMH TAY and PSC’s MacBoney made special appearances, much to the crowd’s enjoyment.

The main event, the Easter egg hunt, was a massive affair, with some lucky participants discovering eggs filled with cash. Throughout the day, Young Dro himself was incredibly hands-on, taking pictures with fans, joining in on games, and ensuring everyone felt welcome. His nonprofit organization, It Takes a Village, played a crucial role in the seamless coordination of this significant community event.

Young Dro: ‘Feels good to do this for my hood’

“It feels good to be able to do this every year for my hood,” Young Dro shared, highlighting his deep connection to the Westside. This annual Easter celebration has become a cherished tradition, bringing joy and a sense of community to Atlanta. Young Dro’s commitment to giving back was evident in every aspect of this special Easter event.
