Soulja Boy’s Bentley was impounded by the Los Angeles Police Department after a bank of secret cameras captured incriminating photos of the rapper’s luxury whip associated with a felony crime, according to media reports.

Back on Jan. 9 2013, a red Bentley matching Soulja Boy’s was involved in an accident adjacent to the city’s famous landmark, Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles, that left a motorcyclist seriously injured. The driver of the Bentley then fled the scene.

According to TMZ.com, the friend of the injured cyclist returned to the scene of the crime a few days later and began poking around for witnesses. The valet at Roscoe’s reportedly told the friend that he instantly recognized the Bentley and told the friend it belonged to Soulja Boy, who is seen in the area frequently.

The friend of the injured motorcyclist immediately went to the LAPD, who have a large database of photographs taken by thousands of hidden cameras stationed on police cars, buildings and private vehicles throughout metro Los Angeles.  There are private companies that make money off the city by getting citizens and businesses to mount cameras for the database.

One law enforcement source told the popular online tabloid that the cameras are constantly taking photos of cars all over the city  — and the average car is shot upwards of a thousand times per day that it is driving throughout the city.

The LAPD got the license plate number of Soulja Boy’s Bentley, ran it through the database and a series of photos popped up showing the Bentley with damage that matched the kind that would have been involved in the accident with the motorcyclist on Feb. 9

Since Soulja’s Bentley has no current damage on it, The LAPD believe that Soulja Boy or someone from his camp repaired the damage to erase any evidence of its involvement in the accident.

The LAPD procured a search warrant after a judge agreed there was probable cause to believe the Bentley was involved in the accident. The car was subsequently impounded pending an investigation.

There has been no evidence revealed yet that Soulja was the driver of the car.

What is most likely disturbing to the reader of this story is the bank of secret cameras stashed liberally throughout the city surreptitiously recording people’s moves without their knowledge. The LAPD state that they solve hundreds of crimes with these secret photographs.
