Donovan McNabb Hosts Star Studded Softball Game

Chicago’s own celebrity quarterback Donovan McNabb, his mother, Larry Fitzgerald and others mixed it up with fans before an exciting game of softball. The game’s Most Valuable Player was presented to Robert Muzikowski, President of Chicago Hope Academy. Chicago Hope Academy served as the community partner for Saturday’s event.

Celebrity attendees included NFL’s Larry Fitzgerald, Fred Evans, Jerry Azumah, Garrett Wolfe, Golden Tate, Robert Mackey, NBA’s Bobby Simmons, WNBA’s Swin Cash, Singer Ben One, Will Taylor (Day 26), DJ Farley “Jackmaster” Funk, MC/Community Activist Che “Rhymefest” Smith, Radio Personality Trey The Chocolate Jock, Comedian Deon Cole, Summer Jackson (WCIU), and Frank Holland (WGN).

Proceeds from the event will support the Donovan McNabb Fund, which over the past 11 years has supported community efforts to bring awareness to people of all ages affected by diabetes. The fund’s overall goal is to educated people everywhere on healthy prevention initiatives for them and their families.
