Gloria Govan Says She Would Battle Miami Basketball Wives
In an either desperate move to drum up controversy for the return of her reality T.V. show, or just to freely express her disdain for a few women, Gloria Govan is speaking out on her fellow” Basketball Wives.” The “L.A. Basketball Wife” was extremely candid in an interview with EurWeb.com while speaking on her upcoming acting role.
The mother of two and the on-again-off-again girlfriend of Matt Barnes, who is playing an assassin in “Clean Ops,” an upcoming television program, was asked to tick off a few names of women she’d like to take on in hand-to-hand combat. “I think I’d use my moves on every cast member in Miami. I would wait for Evelyn, Evelyn would be last,” said Govan. “I’d knock out Shaunie first.” Govan’s issues with Shaunie are well documented. Her sister Laura Govan was accused of having an affair and getting pregnant by Shaunie’s ex-husband Shaquille O’Neal. Gloria has fiercely defended her against the allegations.
She also added a few more names to her would-be knockout list, Royce Reed and Suzie Ketchum. Noticeably missing from the list however was Tami Roman, the always feisty ‘wife’ that famously brawled with Meeka Claxton in a European nightclub. Instead Govan said she’d “try to take out the voice box” of Jennifer Williams.
While Govan’s comments may sound a bit shocking, especially considering that Evelyn Lozada is recovering from a domestic abuse incident, Eurweb has noted that the interview was taped weeks in advance.
Another noteworthy factor? Govan’s assassin show will run on the Shaquille O’Neal run ‘ComedyShaq Network.’ How interesting. Do you think Govan would really battle with the other wives or is she just vying for attention for her program’s September 8 premiere? -danielle canada
