Laverne Cox has already been named one of People magazine’s most beautiful people in the world and now she’s proving why she’s a stunner on her own with a highly-applauded selfie.
On Wednesday, Cox hopped on Instagram and shared with fans that she was enjoying a few days off from work. However, what had fans talking was the fact that the accompanying photo was a picture of Cox with no makeup.
“Finally a few days to relax. I feel so privileged to be able to do work that I love and very privileged to be able to take time off occasionally. I take none of it lightly. Always good to have days with no makeup to let my skin breath. #washfacenobase #TransIsBeautiful,” Cox captioned the photo.
Clearly Cox is continuing to redefine what it means to be trans in the public eye and helping to usher in the idea that trans can be beautiful, too.
