Former CEO of American Apparel, Dov Charney, was fired over allegations that he forced a former employee into sex slavery.
According to the New York Post, Charney had a relationship with 18-year-old Irene Morales that became public in 2011 after she accused him of forcing her into sex slavery.
Morales said Charney harassed her at 17 and began a sexual relationship with her at 18. She said he forced her to have sex in his Manhattan condo for hours and told her she could keep her job at American Apparel if she continued to give him sexual favors. Morales claimed that she had to be treated for mental health issues following her ordeal with Charney.
However, Charney fired back by showing that the teen had sent him a multitude of nude images. Morales’ $260 million lawsuit against Charney was thrown out in 2012, but American Apparel’s board just recently decided to fire Charney because of the incident.
Charney was also filmed dancing in front of two female employees while naked and masturbated in front of a female journalist as she attempted to conduct an interview.
