The very private wedding, which was also confirmed by an NBA official, took place on Nov. 22, 2010, in front of the couple’s parents in Los Angeles, where the singer now resides with Brown.
According to blogger Sandra Rose, one of hers readers reported that Monica visited a Clayton County DMV two weeks ago to change her last name to Brown.
MediaTakeOut.com is reporting that the reason for the secrecy is that Monica wants a reality show like LaLa to cover the makings of her wedding. Unfortunately, the wedding would have to be filmed after the seasons end. Not wanting to move her kids to L.A. before being wed, she and Brown decided to tie the knot privately beforehand.
A friend of Brown’s explained that the two will wed once again in L.A. in June, this time in front of all of their family and friends.
Monica and Brown have yet to confirm anything but if it’s true, congrats to the two. –nicholas robinson
