“Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” cast member K. Michelle keeps the headlines coming. This week, the 27-year-old singer and reality TV star headed to her hometown of Memphis, Tenn., to accept the Mayor’s Ambassador Award.
Michelle was presented the award last week by Mayor A.C. Wharton at the Memphis City Hall. Along for the ride, was her son Chase.
Michelle humbly accepted the award saying, “This is an honor. I absolutely love my city. I want to thank everyone. It’s been a struggle and a fight, but I’m just getting started in this business. You have to fight if you want to be a musician. If this is what you want to do, you can never give up on it.”
Following the short ceremony, the “V.S.O.P.” singer posed with a few city officials, close friends and family. See pics below. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
