Mimi Faust and Mama Dee Volunteer
Two cast members of a controversial reality show took time out this week not to detail their stories in front of a camera, but to do volunteer work. Mimi Faust and Mama Dee of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” joined Hands On Atlanta, the Office of Mayor Kasim Reed and Sony Pictures for “Be Amazing, Stand Up and Volunteer” Day. On Tuesday, the ladies took to Grove Park recreation center to aid in a beautification project with volunteers from Camp Best Friends. The volunteer work which was also used to promote the upcoming film The Amazing Spider-Man™, included interior and exterior painting, repairing and staining benches, landscaping, building shelves and painting murals.
Mama Dee and Mimi later posed for pictures for the cause that benefits Stand Up To Cancer cancer research.
