Why Creflo Dollar wants church members to pay for his new $65 million jet

Creflo-Dollar

Creflo Dollar has earned a living by preaching the importance of wealth building at his World Changers Church in College Park, Georgia. Reportedly, Dollar has a net worth of $27 million, owns a $1 million home in Atlanta, a $2.5 million condo in Manhattan, and drives a Rolls-Royce.

Dollar also owned a private jet that allowed him to travel around the world and log over four million miles of travel. However, his private jet is now old and he wants his congregation to help him purchase a new one.

According to a program called Project G650 on creflodollarministries.org, in a five-minute video on his website, Dollar shows footage of himself traveling around the world to share his ministry. He also discusses how his old private jet is inoperable.

Dollar eventually says that he is asking for 200,000 members and friends to donate $300 to help purchase a $65 million Gulfstream G650 private jet.

The Gulfstream G650 is regarded as the best private jet available for purchase. But when did owning a private jet become a necessity?

Dollar has enough income to purchase first-class commercial flights to any location in the world. It seems to be another case of a preacher using religion for personal gain.
