Quad Webb-Lunceford dishes on “Married to Medicine” season 2
Quad Webb-Lunceford is returning to television, and you can “catch that true tea.” The haute and hilarious star is starring in the new season of “Married to Medicine” alongside fellow physicians’ wives and physicians. This time, the seemingly unbreakable bond between her and her bestie, Mariah Huq, has been shattered. In between dealing with the drama, her husband, Dr. Gregory Lunceford, is hoping to expand their family.
Below, she dishes on her return to reality TV and her decision not to “dim her light” for anyone, even one of her so-called friends. -danielle canada
This season there’s a situation between you and Maria Huq. Do you think jealousy is behind that?
It’s really unfortunate. That’s definitely not something that I wanted to have happen between the two of us. It’s not something that I was anticipating, I’m deeply hurt by it but I have to accept it for what it is. I just think it definitely stems from who am I within “Married to Medicine.” I think it’s a lot for anyone to swallow when it was noticed that I’m the breakout star from this show. That wasn’t something that I posted, the people have spoken. The New York Times just validated that. I cannot dim my light to keep someone else shining, it’s just not fair.
You’re known for being fabulous, what are some fabulous things we’re going to see you do this season?
Oh honey, Ms. Quad is doing stunts and shows! Yes honey, she’s doing it for the gods! Everything is bigger and more fabulous. It is absolutely Quad, by no mistake it’s all me. You’ll see great events that I’m throwing this season in conjunction with charity. I am a huge supporter of the Canine Companions for Independence foundation and the launch of my new puppy couture clothing line, [which] works in conjunction with that particular organization. I have a natural passion for my little [dog] babies Khloe and Kar’ie and they have inspired me to make a couture puppy clothing line.
What are your thoughts on your new cast mates, Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Lisa Nicole Cloud?
They’re cool! They’re good girls, they’re hardworking women, they’re independent and entrepreneurs. Heavenly does very well in the world of dentistry and Lisa has done extremely well with direct marketing. They do bring a little something different to the show, I like to call Heavenly “The Fox” and you’ll see why. Lisa is very supportive and all about women’s empowerment. Both of these women bring something special to the show and I’m really happy to have them, I really am.
“Married to Medicine” returns to Bravo on Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m.
