Ford Motor Co. hosted a private dinner for 20th Essence Festival junket members at Borgne in New Orleans. Singer Sevyn Streeter shared a meal with us and spent a few moments sharing how great her experience has been at Essence. The attendees sang ‘Happy birthday’ to her. She acknowledged that she was happy to be spending her weekend having fun and working. Streeter performed Sunday at the Super Dome.
Also, Ford’s multicultural marketing manager Shawn Thompson, discussed the “Ford’s commitment to the community is unwavering, we donated $20,000 to Essence in which they can donate to a community organization of their choice.”
