National Black Chamber of Commerce 20th Annual Conference Kickoff

The National Black Chamber of Commerce 20th annual conference taking place at the beautiful Four Seasons hotel in midtown Atlanta has gotten off to a fun, educational and inspiring start.  The organizations mission is to ” To economically empower and sustain African American communities through entrepreneurship and capitalistic activity within the United States and via interaction with the Black Diaspora,” and this conference is the embodiment of the tremendous work that this organization does all year long to support it’s local Chamber members.


The days activities began with a lunch accompanied by remarkes revolving around the topic of “How to do Business in Botswana – In Country Opportunities”.  Presentations were moderated by Her Excellency Dr. Tebelelo Mazile Seretse, Ambassador of Botswana to the  United States. Additional remarks were made by the Honorable, Ms. Dorcas Makgato-Malesu (Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Botswana), Mr. Lameck Nthekela (Botswana Investment and Trade Centre), and Mr. Letlhogonolo Alex Monchusi – President of Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM).


The evening brought on a great catered reception in the Grand Ballroom. Performances by AleshaNicole and Afori provided the live entertainment. See pictures from the reception here.
