Fans of “Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta” have watched the series’ resident playboy, Stevie J, juggle relationships with both his longtime girlfriend, Mimi Faust, and his on-again, off-again mistress, Joseline Hernandez. And while many fans have already voiced severe disdain for Stevie’s romantic games, his famous former girlfriend, Eve, is now sharing her opinion on her fickle ex.
According to S2S, Eve recently sat down for a chat at the Uniquely You Summit where she recalled her relationship with Stevie, who she claims was her first love.
“You know what … that was a learning experience,” Eve explained. “You meet people all the time. We just happen to fall in love. Umm, but thankfully I knew better. I know better. I am happily in love now.”
Though, it’s likely that Eve, like many other women, fell for Stevie’s games in the past, she now bluntly claims that Stevie isn’t at all mature enough to date her these days.
“And the girl now [referring to herself] he couldn’t even see this. I would be like, ‘I’m sorry, we don’t speak the same language!’” Eve snapped.
For Eve, her relationship with Stevie J taught her several valuable lessons, including trusting her instincts and loving herself enough to stand up for herself.
“When I was younger I didn’t question things but now I am annoying! Not nagging, but, like, if something doesn’t feel right, speak up!” Eve advised to her audience. “If you feel like you are being lied to, speak up! If you feel like sexually he is trying to push you too fast, speak up.”
Eve then advised her young female fans to opt for abstinence until they find a man that will love them for both body and mind.
“Let me tell you something. Anybody that knows you’re worth it will stick around,” she said. “They might not talk to you about it; they may talk to you about it. But if they argue with you or if they call you a name or if they roll out, they are not meant to be in your life anyways.”
Well, despite what appears to have been a bad breakup between Eve and Stevie J, it looks like Eve came out of their bad romance with a better and stronger sense of self. And that kind of wisdom is worth any heartbreak.
But Eve isn’t the only star who had a bad romance. Check out some other bad breakups below. – nicholas robinson
