‘Sparkle’ Screening Brings Out Celebs
Tuesday was a busy night in New York City with a number of celebrities converging on the Tribeca Grand Hotel for a screening of the movie Sparkle. In attendance were a number of the film’s cast members, including Jordin Sparks, whose youthful looking mother served as her date. Also on hand were Tika Sumpter, Mike Epps, Carmen Ejogo, Derek Luke, Omari Hardwick and executive producer Debra Martin Chase.
In addition to the Sparkle stars, a number of celebs hit the red carpet including Russell Simmons, Gabby Sidibe, Olympic medalist Cullen Jones, Steven Baldwin, Valerie Simpson, June Ambrose, Rutina Wesley, S. Epatha Merkerson, Q Parker, Adrienne Bailon, and pop/R&B newcomer Austin Brown.
Brown was later spotted at Santos Party House where he performed for the BET Music Matters Showcase while Angela Simmons and BET music exec Kelly G looked on.
