Mayte and Jessica Make Up
With their friendship still on the rocks, Mayte and Jessica meet up, alone, to discuss their issues. Jessica explains that her nonchalant way of talking about her abortion is just part of her defense mechanism in dealing with pain by turning almost anything into a joke. Jessica then lets her guard down and reveals to Mayte that her back-alley abortion led to reproductive issues and miscarriages and how her daughter, Josie, is her “miracle” baby. Mayte empathizes with Jessica’s pregnancy issues and the two are finally able to burry the hatchet.
