Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and the big one, HIV, can easily enter into a relationship when lovers keep secrets about what they do at work and who they do at home.
Imagine what could happen if you are paid to sleep around because your workplace is a porn set! In California, porn stars must be tested every 30 days and show proof of their clean tests before they can film. Some big-name stars found loopholes in the system and filmed anyway.
Here then are five biggest STD scandals to rock the porn industry, beginning with a shocker that just shut down a few sets only a few days ago.
Mr. Marcus: Syphilis
Sexy Mr. Marcus has not aged out of the porn industry as far as his looks are concerned, but he should retire anyway. Why, do you ask? Well, he tested positive for syphilis, sought medical attention, and then forged his test results to conceal the fact that he ever had syphilis. Several coworkers were infected.
Mr. Marcus says he’s been taking a lot of heat, as he doesn’t want to be blamed as if, “I brought syphilis into this industry,” he told a reporter at XBiz. Mr. Marcus says someone may have infected him at work: “I didn’t give it to myself, No. 1. I had no symptoms. I had been testing frequently like everybody else,” he said.
