Michele is also winning with her burgeoning clothing line, Fine A– Girls, which has become a national sensation, catching her by surprise.
“I definitely underestimated myself. I didn’t think that my clothing lines were going to be such a success. If I had of known, I might have gone overseas and mass produced or something. But right now, it’s just me and my girls and we are small and we work for ourselves,” she says. ”It sells out quick[ly] because we are not able to produce millions of things at one time. But we do what we can and we get it done.”
Michele is not only blazing a path for herself through business and entertainment, she’s also trying to create exposure and opportunities for the businesswoman she’s working with.
“I’ve been working with some local designers and I love their stuff, so … I’m working with a designer from New York and a girl from Baton Rouge, La., so I’m helping these girls get their names out there. So I’m happy with that,” she says.
Now, don’t get it twisted, however. Michele oozes — gushes — sexuality out of her pores. But she doesn’t dress for attention or for ulterior motives. She simply calls herself a free spirit who likes to stretch the parameters of risqué dress and appearance. One of the most famous examples of this was the sheer pants she wore that nearly caused a Super Bowl-sized power outage.
“My pants were sheer and everyone is wearing sheer and their nipples and sides and pieces of their bodies are showing. But I’m a little bit more bold, a little bit more provocative than everyone else. So I decided to wear sheer in the butt area. And I think I pulled it off. The guys loved it. The girls didn’t like it. And that’s just how it is with my life. Everything that I do is not going to be liked by everybody,” she says.
