Diet plan: How to eat gluten-free

Just say no to bread … somewhat

The most difficult step in a gluten-free diet is saying farewell to bread as you know it — that includes white, wheat, marble, and rye.   Other off limit breads are bagels, muffins, croissants, hamburger buns, scones.  Last but not least,  pizza. However, don’t throw in the towel.  There are some alternatives.

Most health foods stores and some major supermarkets now carry gluten-free products, including an assortment of breads.  Just read and check the labels to make sure it says “100% gluten-free.”
