Bob Dylan
The enigmatic singer-songwriter was one of the most revered and iconoclastic artists of the 60s and ’70s, but even his most open-minded fans were shocked when he announced he was converting to Christianity. Dylan, who was raised Jewish, saw a fan throw a cross onstage during a show and felt it was a sign to follow Jesus. He began recording gospel albums and lecturing crowds at his shows about the wages of sin, before returning to secular music in the mid-1980s.
