Members of the one of the nation’s largest sororities, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, descended on Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park to culminate their two-day Centennial Torch celebrations. Thousands of the sorority sisters along with their friends and families gathered to witness the lighting of the organization’s official torch on Saturday, April 27, 2013.

The torch was first lit on January 1, 2013 in Los Angeles and will travel to 22 cities, total, which represents the 22 founders of the sorority. The next stop is Augusta, Ga. and the final stop will be in Washington, D.C. to kick off the 100-year old organization’s 51st National Convention.
