Lil Wayne released his magnum opus with Tha Carter 3. He always had potential lyrically, but Tha Carter III proved that Lil Wayne discovered how to create a great album. Lil Wayne was uninhibited lyrically on “A Milli”; ready to take the crown from Jay-Z on “Mr. Carter”; and a bit revolutionary on “Shoot Me Down.” It was Lil Wayne at his pinnacle and a moment that will be hard to recapture.
