8. Goodie Mob Soul Food
Goodie Mob mixed revolutionary ethos with spirituality and Southern living on their debut, Soul Food. Cee Lo Green, Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo delved into the theory of a new world order takeover on “Cell Therapy”; channeled Public Enemy on “Live at the O.M.N.I”; provided insight on Atlanta’s street life on “Dirty South”; and proved they could flow with best emcees in rap on “Goodie Bag.” At a time when hip-hop groups reigned, Goodie Mob stood out as one of the best to ever do it.
