LAPD arrived at the home of Katherine Jackson’s grandchildren on June 7 after a 911 caller claimed there were shots fired at their community mansion in The Oaks. They quickly discovered that nothing had happened and they had been “swatted.”
The prank came two days after Paris’ alleged suicide attempt, which prompted LAPD to respond immediately.
A spokesperson for LAPD, Steve Whitmore confirmed that police did respond to a call, but wouldn’t go into detail.
“We went up to the house to check on something, but it was nothing. That house has had a lot of activity lately, so we sent a unit there,” he told media outlets and as reporters continued to pester Whitmore, he added, “I know what you’re trying to get at, but I’m telling you, nothing happened.”
After Paris’ alleged suicide attempt Wednesday, June 5, police learned that Paris Jackson and her brothers live at the estate alone since their coguardian T.J. Jackson packed up a while ago and is currently living elsewhere. Rumors are now swirling that child-welfare services will be investigating the Jackson children’s living situation. The Jackson family could be headed back to court very soon.
