Shekinah wants to be white
While hanging with Tiny, Shekinah claims that white people don’t have any drama or issues in their lives and that she wants to be white too so she can be cultured and drama free as well. Tiny, of course, is thrown by her friend’s comments but decides to humor her and comes up with a daylong list of things to do that white people would do. First up on the list is having tea at a shop. Shekinah dresses up in J. Crew for the occasion and tries to show off her “white girl swagger” but she turns her nose up at the traditional teatime snacks and embarrassingly talks to a couple of white women at a neighboring table about how she wants to be white just like them, to which they reply, “the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.”
