In what seems to be an ongoing occurrence at fast-food drive-through windows, another arrest was made for drug distribution. This time the incident happened in Pittsburgh at the McDonald’s restaurant in the Bakery Square section of East Liberty.
A McDonald’s worker, Shania Dennis, was arrested for drug distribution.
Potential customers for the heroin were instructed to ask for a Happy Meal with a boy’s toy. When the person got to the window $2 was given in cash for the toy and another $80 for the heroin. Police conducted a controlled buy and recovered 10 small bags of heroin in the Happy Meal and another 50 bags in Dennis’ possession.
Earlier in the month, another McDonald’s employee was arrested at different location for the same type of crime.
According to law enforcement, western Pennsylvania is facing a flood of heroin and at least 22 deaths are linked to heroin laced with fentanyl.
