When a young man hits puberty his hormones are raging and often his sexual impulses are hard to control. Apparently, Anna Areola Hernandez realized this fact and took advantage of it. Hernandez is accused of having sex with a 13 year old boy and giving him an STD. She was able to convince the boy that she was a teenager and may have had sex with other minors exposing them also to disease.
Hernandez, 23, admitted to having a sexual relationship with the boy she met at a Phoenix, Arizona mall. She told the boy that she was 15 and they had sex several times. But the boy’s mother found that her son had an STD and that Hernandez lied about her age. The mother contacted police and Hernandez was arrested Thursday and faces charges including sexual conduct with a minor, child molestation, unlawful age misrepresentation, and an adult posing as a minor for sexual conduct. Hernandez used social media to find her victims posting under the name “Tiny Hernandez” or “Ana Hernandez,” and may have “friended” at least 20 other young boys online. She admitted to authorities that she preferred boys to men and showed no remorse for her actions. According to Glendale, AZ police spokesperson Tracey Breedan, “She looks very young, so it would be very easy for her to pass as a teenager.” Police are currently trying to contact the families of other children Hernandez may have been in contact with through social media. Currently, Hernandez is being held without bail.
