Black child genius Christopher Isaiah Penn, 4, writes ‘Guess Who, Mr. Dinosaur?’

Mr. Dinosaur

Christopher Isaiah Penn, a four-year-old preschooler publishes his first book entitled, Guess Who, Mr. Dinosaur? Penn has already had his first book signing.  His favorite subject is talking about dinosaurs. He began drawing similarities between the features of dinosaurs and those of other, modern day animals. As he was drawing, he decided to write down his comparisons. His parents were so excited about his ideas, they had them copyrighted. The book provides the pronunciations of featured dinosaurs and two fun, learning activities: the “Dino Match-Up” game and a coloring page.

How did you come to like dinosaurs?

Chris: Dinosaurs look cool and look similar to animals I see now. I like the different features and that’s pretty much it.

What are your parents’ names?

Kymberlee and Christopher Smith; brother: Jacob Smith

How did you decide on the title?

Chris: The book is about dinosaurs and I want people to guess which animal the dinosaur looks like. I also want them to read my book.

Will you be writing more books?

Chris: Yes, it’s about my eczema.

Mom: It should be out later this year.
