The January disappearance of music and television executive Debra Hughes is baffling friends and family. The Orange County, Calif., resident hasn’t been seen or heard from since Jan. 18, 2014, according to some sources. Others says they were in contact with her around Feb. 10.
Family and friends across the country and abroad — the U.K., Germany and Japan — are especially concerned because Hughes has been fighting cancer and experienced a recent breakup.
Hughes, who’s worked with Tyler Perry, Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, Lionsgate and 20th Century Fox, told friends she was moving to Lancaster, located in the hub of Antelope Valley/northern Los Angeles County, where she has already started working on projects for CB Music Group Inc. Her social media platforms, company website, office and mobile phone and email are either disconnected or there’s no response.
“I have known Debra for six years and she has always remained consistent with her business and a full time friend. No matter what was going on in her life, good or bad Debra is a talker and is never one that likes to be alone. This is the major point in the puzzling disappearance of Debra and why I and the hundreds of other friends will not stop looking for her until she is found,” said Adrienne Lawson, her closest friend and confidant.
