San Antonio Spurs took over last night and handed the Miami Heat a loss so brutal that it sent social media into a frenzy. Winning their 5th NBA Final Championship title, the Spurs shut down the Heat’s 3 Peat hopes in their home city San Antonio. The Larry O’Brien trophy was handed to the owner, Peter Holt, who thanked Coach Gregg Popovich and all the players on the team.
The Most Valuable Player Award was handed to Kawhi Leonard for his exceptional playoff performance, making him the third youngest NBA Finals MVP at 22 years of age. Magic Johnson and Tim Duncan (in 1999 was 20 years old) were the previous youngest MVPs.
