Stevie J’s reputation as a father went crashing downhill this month after he was arrested and charged with failure to pay more than a million dollars in child support to one of his many baby’s mamas. But despite the harsh accusations, Stevie was recently filmed saying that the allegations are nothing more than lies.
TMZ cameras recently caught up with Stevie holding a bottle of expensive alcohol as he was leaving a nightclub with his wife, Joseline Hernandez, and his adult son. After being questioned whether he bought the bottle or not (it was actually Hernandez’s bottle) he was asked if the child support accusations are true, which he calmly denied.
“Man, I love my children. You know, I will be vindicated. I’m just happy I’m in L.A., enjoying my beautiful wife and my son,” said Stevie before his adult son began flashing his fresh pair of Jordans.
“I mean, he’s definitely taking care of business,” said his son as he showed off his jewelry and his shoes. “The proof is in the pudding.”
Unfortunately for Stevie, buying Jordans for one child doesn’t count as proper child support because he’s still facing major child support charges in New York City. For his sake, we hope he can prove that he provides actual financial support for more than just his kids’ styles. – nicholas robinson
