Future, The Game and other rappers unite with NBA ballers to release new album

future

It’s been a while since the 1990’s heyday of NBA ballers making attempted forays in rap, but everything comes back full circle, right?

Thanks to a new venture between The Cherry Party and Sony Music, a new compilation album titled Full Court Press Volume 1, will be making its way into stores this fall. In addition to rappers Future, The Game, Ma$e and Twista, the album will feature NBA ballers such as Lamar Odom, Carlos Boozer, Iman Shumpert, and Glenn “Big Baby” Davis.

A portion of the proceeds from the album will go to the ‘nPlay Foundation, a charity that aims to end childhood obesity by implementing physical education programs in schools across the nation. The ‘nPlay Foundation will also host a series of events in a number of schools around the country where children will have the opportunity to interact and play. “As an organization made up of athletes, we are committed to getting our children more physically active. We are excited to have Full Court, The Cherry Party and all of the musicians and athletes on this record join us in helping our children have a healthier future” says ‘nPlay Founder Eric Cohen.

The first single from the project, “I’m A Champion,” features Shawn Marion, T-Pain, Dorrough and Young Cash.
