It’s been days since the heated exchange between Brooklyn rapper Talib Kweli and CNN anchor Don Lemon, but the internet is still talking about it.
During a live broadcast covering the aftermath of the Michael Brown murder in Ferguson, Missouri, Kweli took exception to being interrupted by Lemon while speaking on misinformation posted on CNN’s website. He also expressed his disdain with Lemon for not greeting him prior to the start of the interview.
Kweli took to Twitter to further express his side of the events. He also drove home his intended point that authorities were using excessive force and intimidation against otherwise peaceful protestors.
