This past season on “R&B Divas LA,” fans watched as Chante Moore went from being one of the most beloved fan favorites to being the resident villain among nearly every cast member on the show, especially Chrisette Michele and her former friend, Lil Mo. And in a recent interview, Moore opened up about her beef with her cast mates and shares why she’s misunderstood.
Moore discussed her numerous beefs during a recent interview with TheJasmineBrand.com, explaining the reason her personality was so dark this season was because of the loss of her mother and brother and her daughter’s departure to college. Moore explains that the rest of the cast mistakenly took her pain as malice on set.
“What I feel is that people will sometimes assume quietness for weakness, or quietness for being mean. I think some of the girls wanted a mentor or a guide and I wasn’t there to mentor or guide. Friendship and trust is earned and two of the young ladies I just met. The other young ladies, I thought we had a trust bond before that. It seemed like things kind of flip-flop back and forth and I didn’t have time. I don’t play in the sandbox” Moore explained.
Moore went on to defend herself and claimed that she never tried to diss the ladies during the season.
“I think they probably had some conversations, if you’re a group of girls having conversations, then it becomes this big thing. What’s funny is because, all they did was talk about me. Every one of their testimonials, when they’d talk about me, they’d say something mean. Funny, I would never say anything about them even though they would be mean to me sometimes too,” Moore said.
