Hip-hop star Tyga was wrapping up shooting a video yesterday when he was arrested by the LAPD. The YMCMB rapper was reportedly pulled over in a Bentley during the shoot after police claimed that he was driving recklessly. But upon pulling him over, the cops arrested both Tyga and his bodyguard.
According to sources, Tyga was arrested after the LAPD found a gun that was not registered in the state of California in the Bentley. Tyga was allegedly on his way to an event at the House of Blues; where Chris Brown and Trey Songz were to announce their collaborative tour Between the Sheets.
He was still able to get to the venue in time for Q&A with the press, and a little joke from Chris Brown.
“He was rushing to get here,” Brown told E! jokingly.
“That’s why you have to come out to the tour, to see the real thing,” Tyga said, referring to the tour.
Police confirmed that reckless driving was the cause for the stop. Allegedly, six cop cars surrounded the rapper’s vehicle at the time of the incident; and the car was subsequently searched.
