Revenge killings, man ambushes 2 NYPD cops in Brooklyn

NYPD officers Wenjian Lu and Rafael Ramos

A law enforcement officer’s worst fear occurred in New York as two NYPD cops were murdered on Saturday, Dec. 20, in the line of duty. Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos were ambushed while sitting in their patrol car outside the Tompkins Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant, in Brooklyn. The shooter, Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley (aka Ismail Brinsley), 28, fled to a nearby subway station and committed suicide. The officers were transported to Woodhull Hospital with gunshot wounds to the head and later pronounced dead. This senseless shooting marks the seventh time partners were murdered since 1972 in the NYPD, according to commissioner Bill Bratton.

Details about the shooter are emerging and paint a picture of a violent thug with possible prison gang affiliations. It turns out Brinsley shot his ex-girlfriend in the stomach earlier during the day while in Baltimore. Baltimore police sent a warning to the NYPD that Brinsley might be heading to Brooklyn but the warning arrived too late. Witness accounts state that Brinsley calmly walked up to the idling squad car and opened fire on the unsuspecting officers. He shot into the car at least five times before fleeing to a nearby subway station. Apparently, Brinsley’s motivation for the killings was revenge for the deaths of Eric Garner, who died from being placed in a chokehold by NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo, and Mike Brown. He chillingly took to social media and indicated what his intentions were that day. His Instagram handle of “dontrunup” read ”i’m putting wings on pigs today. they take 1 of ours…… let’s take 2 of theirs #shootthepolice #riperivgardner #ripmikebrown this may be my final post i’m putting pigs in a blanket”

In addition he used an app that tracks traffic issues and police activity to hunt for his intended victims.

Police are now investigating Brinsley’s affiliation with the militant group Black Guerilla Fmily (BGF). In the early part of December a threat was made by the Black Guerilla Family, which specifically stated on duty police would be ambushed and shot.

So you’re saying, that it is ok to kill two innocent people who had nothing to do with Eric Gardner or anyone else deserve to be assassinated?

You do realize that this was not about revenge on cops at all really. This was about his ex-gf whom he shot before killing these officers. What say you about her? He is doing “something” but it isn’t out of vengeance, it is out of mental instability.

No. She died because she was a black woman who dated way beneath her. An educated black woman who serves in the heathcare field in the military. I hate that violence against yet another black woman has been minimized to this degree. She is in my prayers. He was just using the “revenge” angle and the deaths of 2 men who died senselessly to save face over the fact that this woman wanted nothing to do with him after he traveled fro Atlanta to Baltimore and he shot her for it. Also, notice that neither of these cops were white and the “gang” that he was supposedly affiliated with was supposed to be targeting WHITE cops specifically. He has been arrested 9 times since 2004 for everything from shoplifting to gun charges to battery. This guy is not a vigilante for justice, okay. This dude is no one’s hero. Well, except maybe yours. you are as ignorant as your commentary sounds if you believe that this will get anyone “heard.”

            1st of all #SheDidntDie…get your facts straight.. 2nd #DeathToAllRacistCops

I actually meant to say “shot”, but my point is still the same. He committed a heinous act of violence against this woman. And someone who needs to get the facts straight is you and read the facts of the case. These dude knew that after what he did to his ex (I honestly believe that he though that he had killed her), that he was going to be thrown under the jail and just decided to go out in a blaze of glory. Plus, he already had a pending gun charge. This was an act of selfishness and the media is attempting to align him with people who are truly seeking justice for these 2 men, but I do not expect an obvious hoodbooger like you to understand what a true revolutionary is. As far as moving on to the “#next topicPls”, please do us all a favor and don’t.
