Tamar Braxton shocked the world earlier this week when she broke down in tears over K. Michelle’s comments that she looks like a muppet. However, some fans weren’t happy with Braxton and they accused her of being a hypocrite. But Braxton refused to hold her tongue as she fired back at them and defended her feelings over her feud with K. Michelle.
As previously reported, Braxton was discussing her beef with K. Michelle during a bullying segment on “The Real” and cried as she explained how hurt she was by K. Michelle.
“A particular person started … saying that I look like a muppet. And … people say it so much sometimes I start to believe it. And so, I even asked Vince … I’m like … ‘Do I look like a muppet?’ He’s like ‘Absolutely not!’ But this person has the whole world calling me that and it’s just so devastating because it takes me back to high school and there is nothing I can do about it,” Braxton said.
Afterward, fans begin to bash Braxton for being a hypocrite and K. Michelle even criticized her for trying to play the victim instead of owning up to being a bully.
However, Braxton responded with a now-deleted Instagram message about her right to air her feelings.
“Since WHEN is it not ok for you to express yourself??? Not bashing anyone, not attacking, not using anyone else’s time, outlet, tv show…but only giving YOUR feelings when asked? I OWN my feelings …They are not for sale, debate or for you to depict so it will make sense to YOU!!! This is the TRUE definition of bullying. Someone who makes an excuse or try to make you feel Bad because YOU FEEL the way YOU feel or believe. Please don’t lose faith in the fact that YOU have a RIGHT to FEEL no matter who agrees or not. I AM FREE,” she wrote.
Braxton wasn’t alone in her thoughts. Co-host Adrienne Bailon came to her defense on Instagram as well. Check out what she had to say after the cut.
