During the series premiere of “Livin’ Lozada,” Evelyn Lozada’s new OWN reality TV show this weekend, Lozada made a shocking revelation to fans when she revealed that she’s pregnant with her second child with her fiancé, Carl Crawford. However, Lozada also revealed that she’s facing the threat of having a miscarriage.
In the episode, Lozada, who is already the mother of a son named Leo with Crawford and a 21-year-old daughter, Shaniece, from a previous relationship, revealed that she’s expecting a second baby with Crawford.
At the time of filming, Lozada was six weeks pregnant and in one scene she tearfully tells Shaniece that she’s received a phone call from her doctor, telling her that the pregnancy is in danger.
“It’s not good,” she told Shaniece through tears. “When I was on my way here, [the doctor] left me a voicemail. She said that my hormone levels have dropped.”
She continued, “When you’re pregnant, your hormone levels are supposed to be in the thousands. [Mine] went all the way down to 50… Most likely, I’m going to end up miscarrying the baby.”
Lozada then shared how she felt her hopes and dreams for her baby were being ripped away.
“I was like, ‘Maybe I’ll have a boy,’ and then I was like, ‘Maybe I’ll have a girl. Then she’ll be like Sha,’” she said. “I swear to God, I thought about so many things.”
The fate of Lozada’s pregnancy won’t be revealed until Saturday’s episode of the show, but Lozada did take time to thank her online fans for watching the emotional first episode of the show.
“Livin’ Lozada” airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. on OWN.
