Last week, Nick Gordon pleaded with Bobby Brown to let him attend Bobbi Kristina’s funeral in Atlanta this past Saturday. But it came as no surprise to anyone that Gordon was noticeably absent from the funeral. Even though Gordon didn’t get to say goodbye to Bobbi at the funeral, a new report reveals that he got to say a final goodbye to his late girlfriend on his own terms.

As previously reported, Gordon sent an email to both Brown and Pat Houston, begging them to let him mourn Bobbi with everyone else at her funeral.

“I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye,” Gordon wrote. “I’m begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance.”

Clearly, Gordon’s request was denied by Brown and Houston, but according to People, Gordon’s mother, Michele Gordon, revealed that she went on a trip with her son to Daytona Beach, Florida on Friday where he honored Bobbi Kristina.

“Nick went to the beach with me on Friday during the services,” Michele said. “He said the beach was always their favorite place to go, so he decided that he would honor her at a place that they both loved.”

Although Gordon finally got to say goodbye to Bobbi, he’s still dealing with the aftermath of their dysfunctional relationship, as he remains a major suspect in the murder investigation of Bobbi’s death. Further, Bobbi’s estate also filed a $40 million lawsuit against Gordon for allegedly beating Bobbi and stealing money from her accounts, even allegedly taking $11,000 from her accounts after she fell into a coma.
