Ghost spoke of going legit throughout the entire season and strived to get his club back. Who knew “Power’s season finale would have so many plot twists that I would be clutching my pearls and gasping for air during the entire 90-minute episode? I imagine Ghost had no choice but to act as a rogue soldier and eliminate anyone that could be tied to his drug-smuggling past as part of his plan to go legit.
Tommy and Ghost might have ended their 25-year relationship, but it was evident Ghost secured a new friend in Dre. Seems Dre sees his mentor Ghost in a more positive light and begins to evaluate how real and promising his future would be staying with Kanon, a man who easily killed his own flesh and blood son. Dre obviously figured it was time to make some new alliances.
So many questions were left unanswered that I can’t wait for season three to begin so I can start solving my own questions like a jigsaw puzzle. What reasons will you tune in for season three? Let’s see if your curiosity matches my thought process. Starting with the following:
Reason 1 – What future does Ghost and his wife have going forward now that he has found out Tasha did the ultimate betrayal and slept with the help young boy Shawn? Who does that? What kind of strategic move was this for Tasha to be sleeping with Shawn. Clearly Ghost’s affair with Angela started off to save his family (even though he was actually in love); while Angela still having the Dopamine running through her veins throughout most of the season had no clue the love of her life was “GHOST”. Wow! What is Tasha going to do now that her man Ghost will more than likely not return to her for anything more than divorce papers?
Reason 2 – Tommy left peacefully with no choice, since he had 2 guns to his head and all; but Ghost better tread lightly as Tommy seems like a loose cannon and when unwatched he just may go postal on Ghost or someone in the crew. (More than likely he will attack the family first) We will definitely have to stay tuned to figure out if Ghost will be ducking and dodging Tommy next season.
Reason 3 – The last two minutes showing the audience that Kanon had obviously escaped the fire was almost as scary as Tommy showing up and pulling a gun on Ghost. With Kanon getting stabbed by Ghost and knowing that Ghost was perfectly OK with setting him and the building on fire; Kanon’s rage might be greater than the satisfaction Kanon had while he was suffocating Ghost with the plastic and trying to kill him for good. What other tricks could be up Kanon’s sleeve?
Reason 4 – When Kanon finds out that Dre has sold him out to Ghost, this is definitely not going to go over well. I wonder who will end up at the morgue first? Ghost, Angela or Dre? Lobos is not going to be happy about any of this, especially the fact that Ghost is still alive.
Reason 5 – James was swindled out of his clubs and now basically the tables have turned and he doesn’t have the power over Ghost nor does he have the deeds to the clubs anymore. Who’s going to be willing to partner with such a shrewd businessman? Entering business practices with a shady mindset seems to never work in the long run. Is James going to come begging Ghost for a job at Truth?
Everyone involved in this project (especially 50 Cent), made the finale exciting. Although Tasha was a disappointment, I really thought she was a ride or die chick, and I almost admired her for allowing Ghost to take one for the team (allowing him to carry on with Angela his mistress); until Tasha crumbled and started having relations with Shawn. How could you, Tasha?
That’s my three cents on “Power’s” season finale on Starz. What do you think should have happened differently?
