A tragic murder took place in Philadelphia and police are calling it a crime of passion. According to police, Shakoor Arline, 25, and Lisa Smith, 32, were having sex in a parked SUV in a park known as lovers’ lane because of the number of trysts that occur in that area. Police say someone opened the rear door of the car and shot the couple nine times.
The two were co-workers and both were in relationships with someone else. Smith was a mother of five children and police are looking for a woman who was romantically involved with Arline. Maintenance ace workers found the dead couple in the back seat of the car. Arline was naked and Smith was partially clothed. Police state that nothing was taken from the vehicle. Philadelphia Police Captain James Clark stated, “I can tell you from the crime scene it appears to be very much a crime of passion. We’ve got nine shots fired; all of them head shots, to both of the victims.”
Police are now looking for a male suspect in the double murder. Police confirmed that the two had been dating off and on for at least two years.
