People seem to be taking to social media at a greater rate to voice their frustration and anger towards racists like Donald Trump. One woman’s tweet has now resulted in her being fired from her job. Kalen Rahim tweeted the following:
Trump was scheduled to appear at a campaign event in Worcester, Massachusetts and the post was taken seriously. Since Trump has Secret Service protection, Rahim is now being investigated by authorities for her tweet. Rahim reportedly called police to file a complaint against the website for posting her comment and police responded but as of now, no action was taken. Because of the publicity garnered by this tweet, Rahim has now made all her social media activities private. According to TurtleBoySports, Rahim posted the following comment on social media before she went private, “So earlier today I put the call out to murder Donald Trump. No big deal. I was totally just kidding. Then all of a sudden Turtleboy showed his followers what I said, and now my boss fired me because of it. Can you go arrest…..someone? For….something?” Rahim now joins the growing list of Black women who are being persecuted for their social media comments.
