“Vampire Diaries'” Kat Graham joins the long-planned Tupac movie, All Eyez On Me. Graham, 26, will portray Jada Pinkett Smith, reports Variety. As you may recall, Smith and the late rapper were high school classmates at the Baltimore School for the Arts and remained the best of friends before his 1996 murder.
For those not familiar with Graham, the actress/singer’s credentials include starring in big blockbusters like Addicted and 17 Again. In September 2015, she released her debut album Roxbury Drive and is expected to release new music in the spring. Graham also serves as an executive producer on the dance drama “From the Top” on the CW.
The film, directed by Benny Boom, chronicles the life and legacy of Shakur, from his rise to fame as a hip-hop artist and actor, his imprisonment and his time at Death Row Records. Starring alongside Graham are previously announced stars Demetrius Shipp, Jr. as Tupac and “Walking Dead” star Danai Gurira as Shakur’s mother, Afeni Shakur.
