The CIAA Tournament, which will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the Time Warner Cable Arena, brings a plethora of exposure to the city year after year. Tournament fans will flood the Queen City attending basketball games, tournament events, and celebrity hosted parties. No Grease Exclusive Male Grooming
No Grease Exclusive Male Grooming Barbershop has not one but two locations in Uptown Charlotte to keep your cut fresh. Need a line up before attending the CIAA games? If you are already at the arena, head down to the ground level and visit their barbershop conveniently located inside the Time Warner Cable Arena where tournament matches are being held. The second location is on the Johnson C Smith University campus, a CIAA conference university. You can also spot No Grease Barbershop in the Concord Mills and Carolina Place Mall.
Manager and native of Charlotte, Omar talked with rolling out about the locally popular barbershop.
No Grease Barbershop:
We represent professionalism, structure, business, and growth. We believe in transcending through race and gender touching all communities. We strive to be the epitome of what a barber is supposed to be. We believe in cutting with quality in a professional environment. We also host a lot of social events outside the barbershop.
Are you doing anything special for the CIAA?
We will be open extended hours in some of our locations, cutting hair [during] tournament week. We usually host numerous parties, so we will be hosting this year. Also look out for some of the mixers we will be hosting information will be posted to the website.
New Image Barbershop LLC:
New Image Barbershop is located in the Arysley shopping center. Arysley is one of Charlotte’s most trendy shopping and upscale dining areas located conveniently near the airport as well as Uptown. Owner Superior talks with rolling out about being a beacon in the community.
What makes New Image Barbershop unique?
On the weekdays our barbers wear shirts, ties and slacks to cut hair. We believe that is professionalism at its best. It’s a throwback to the old days when barbers would dress up and work at the shop. We wanted to integrate the old-school feel with a new-school twist.
How are you preparing for the CIAA crowd?
We are currently getting everything ramped up now. We are making sure all of the chairs are full and we will be fully staffed during tournament week and that weekend. You can sit in any chair here at the shop and get great service.
