The Atlanta Police Athletic League basketball team had a welcome surprise from the Atlanta Hawks flight crew bringing former NBA players to support their tournament and speak to the players about their summer camp program. They posed for team photos, gave away T-shirts, and some served as guest assistant coaches during the tournament.

The Atlanta Hawks summer basketball camps are a great social and basketball experience for young athletes. Registration is available on the Hawks website. Sid Capplin, a former NBA player who played a couple years with the Sacramento Kings, has been working the summer camps for the past three years and says it has been a rewarding experience.

Your child can be on their way to becoming a junior NBA member through the Hawks summer camp or either through their athletic team if the coach signs the team up. The camp offers various clinics, as well as valuable lessons on sportsmanship, teamwork, respect and healthy living.

PAL has track, football and basketball teams. The organization is dedicated to helping children of the community. They provide transportation to practice, and assist the boys with their homework assignments before starting practice. The personal attention given to each individual child based on their needs is phenomenal.
